Target audience
These qualifications are aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.
Programme overview
Specific units will be selected from the wider award, to suit the individual’s work readiness and choice of vocational direction.

- Contribute to own healthy living

- Introduction to alcohol awareness

CSCS introduced a requirement for applicants to achieve a formal knowledge based qualification, the ‘Health and Safety in a Construction Environment’ Award. Achievement of this award will demonstrate the applicant’s understanding of key issues affecting safe working practices on UK construction sites.
